Does anyone know what parts come in this kit ?

I'm getting to ready rebuild the P/S pedestal, and this kit is available at around $79. I wondered if it will contain all the gaskets and packings I'll need or what popular items it might not include.

I ordered a kit today for work this weekend, but it would be good to know if there is anything else I need order.

Also, JD7679 (thrust bearing) is not listed on JDParts.com, and I wondered if anyone has bought one recently, and two, do they often need replaced ? This pedestal has probably never been torn down. Only problem is a leak at the bottom.

I suspect I'll end up replacing the bottom bushing, too, as it probably has been worn oblong from the for and aft motion.

Thanks !

Frank, I haven't used that kit in a while & always just buy the parts needed for the steering unit I'm working on, it used to contain most of the needed "O" rings, vane seals & rings.
~Give your local Deere dealer a call, they should be able to break the kit down for you. The last few times I tried that kit it wasn't available but all the separate parts needed were. As I recall the separate parts werent any more than the kit & every job seems to be a little different. You might want to figure out all the parts you will need & see if the kit covers them all.
~The lower thrust bearing is [at least was a month or so ago] available but was subbed to a different number.
