Hello,I'm trying to help my neighbor figure out what his problem might be.He was doing stop and go work(picking up limbs)clutch working fine.Next time he tried to move up the clutch lever wouldn't push forward, feels like its hitting something solid.Anyone Know how we might check it out? It's a"60" John Deere. Thanks in advance,We sure appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks again,Chris in SeMo.

Hello again Clooney,Bobby tried holding the lever forward with pressure today and sure enough it does try to creep forward.Probably needs to remove and check the clutch disc??Thanks,Chris.

Chris, there could be a few reasons that lever won't move. The usual cause [if nothing in the linkage or fork actually broken] is a failed clutch lining that is jammed up. ~Will the clutch engage enough to move the tractor if the lever is moved & held? Or is the lever locked so solid it won't move even enough to get the clutch to pull? Give us a little more info & we can get you closer to the problem..... ..

Hello Clooney,Thanks for getting back so soon.I checked with Bobby and he said the clutch lever travels about hafway forward then feels like a solid block and doesn't attempt to engage the clutch. He didn't notice it trying to creep or engage holding it forward but he can try it again tomorrow(It's in the woods),and let us know.He said to be sure and thank you for your assistance,Thanks ,Chris in SeMo.
