H Hydraulics question

Just wondering if all the parts are still available to rebuild the hydraulics on an H.
I am thinking of just rebuilding the H without the hydraulics but I really don't know if I should or not. Would it be better to leave it like it is or take them off? I doubt if I ever will need to have the hyds. on it as I do not intend to use the tractor to work with but rather to show. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I would be somewhat hesitant to remove the hydraulic system from the H. Used to have an H with the pump and a remote cylinder which we used to cultivate and it was real nice. Don't remember that it was a big problem when we were not using the hydraulics. The H that I have now does not have anything comparable and that source of remote power could eventually be right handy. Got the brakes fixed on my present project and am in the middle of filling holes in the wheels. Bad bad rust. Am following your suggestion and will have a lot of grinding but that is my best bet. Thanks to all and God bless

Hi Joe,
Glad the suggestion on the wheels was a good one for ya. I'm a good ways off from really deciding what to do on the hydraulics on my H. I'll probably just go through the pump and leave it on it, who knows I might get some cultivators for it at some point in time? Thanks! The hood is looking pretty darn good on this one!

Gary, I don't know about "all the parts", the gaskets & seals were available from Deere a while back..
~Removing the hydraulics is something you will have to personally decide on. If you decide to remove them you will need the non hydraulic governor cover & will have to re-set the fan gear back-lash...

Thanks Clooney,
I thought that might be what would have to be done but I wasn't totally sure. This ole girl is going to look good when I get her done. Does the hydraulics being on them make them any more desirable, I know it would if you were going to use it for plowing and such but this is going to be strickly a show tractor as plans are right now. I am sure I will be hollering for more help from yall. I know somewhat what I'm doing here but I've never went this far into redoing a tractor. Thanks so much Yall are the best!
