I have interest in buying a 2520 diesel tractor, but have some questions. Did it have the same hydraulic 8 piston pump as a 3020? What is it's 3pt hitch capacity? Are the 219 engines good? What are these tractor's weaknesses? If this is a good sound tractor, who has one for sale and what kind of a price range am I looking at? Thanks in advance, Eric

Some had higher capacity pumps, same 3pt hitch. The 219 is a good motor ,see all the other tractors they were used in.The worst thing I can say is, if you have a 3020 you'll sell it after you've run a 2520 diesel. You won't beleive the power band compared to 3020, they get down and pull ,it's like a small 4020.
They didn't make alot of 2520's, and it seems like the people that have them don't like to part with them. The ones I've seen seem to be bringing more than comperable 3020's, even some 4020's.The collectors seem to be driving prices up,look what Polk wants for them when they have them.As for price it depends on where you are and who wants it and how bad.I saw a 71 with dual remotes, widefront, difflock, powershift[on steel] 9K hrs, sell for $12750.The wheels and tires sold seperate as did the front weights.
