Had the wheels sandblasted down to bare metal revealing several small holes in the rims. The sandblaster suggested that I use a welding torch and actually weld the the holes closed. I thought that it might be easier to braze them closed. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks --Joe

ON the H that I'm working on I ran into a small hole in the top of the hood. I tried a product put out by Bondo called Plastic Steel I think, its in a tube and used it on there, of course I only have one side showing so I can leave a good bit on the bottom. On the wheel I think I would use a torch and a piece of baling wire or something similar and fill the hole in then grind it down smooth. Thats what I would do anyhow providing the holes were not but say a little more than 1/8 an inch or so.

Unless the holes are where you really need the strength of steel, what about using JB Weld?
