...except for the rearmost ring on the left piston, which broke. Since it doesn't look shiney where it broke, I think it was probably broken most of the way through already. Is that ring readily available by itself?

I purchased a single ring from a company called "Hastings". They seem to be able to provide rings for about anything. Shipping was QUICK and prices were good.

I have a complete set of new rings and two good used standard size pistons if you are interested.I ended up having to bore mine 45 over and buying new pistons/rings. I bought the rings before I tor down.

At one time the rings you could order separtely from Deere I do not have the parts book here to give you a part #. Check at your JD dealer.
