I have a new set of M&W pistons to put in my G. This is the first 2 cylinder motor that I have ever built. The pistons come with instructions on what groove each ring goes in, but thats about it. The rings that are in the middle (Compression rings), I think, have a small bevel on one side in the inner diameter. Should this be facing towards the top of the piston or toward the bottom? How should I stagger all of the rings? Any info or suggestions on this subject is appreciated. Thanks for the help.

See if this is the correct site:

They should stagger about 1/3 turn so that no ring gap lines up.

The top side of the ring is important to get on top, or you will burn unbelievable quantities of oil. The top is designed by the manufacturer, and they should be able to tell you which way the ring goes in.

They generalty are marked with a dot or the word top on the face of the ring. That faces to the head of piston.
