I was wondering what a good set of round spoke fronts off a JD B are worth. I have a chance to buy a set but I have to buy the complete(well not really complete) tractor. The tractor has a cracked block and missing a carb, mag, and seat. The sheet metal is in OK shape. I am going to go look at it this weekend. Its and early styled but I don't know the exact year. He wants $300 for it. I was going to use some parts off it to put on my 39 B. But if the wheels aren't worth it, I can get the parts I need cheaper. Thanks

All the early styled B's did not have round spoked wheels as an option, except for the BN and BNH. I bet they are cut off steel. The only wheels available for the early styled B's was, cast (texas) wheels, stamped steel, round spoked steel. If they are cut off steel. I doubt that they are worth much. I have cutoff steel on my 43 A and B.

Factory front rounds are worth around $1000 depending on condition. Also be a little careful on your parts selection. Some parts on a 39 are not the same as for the other years of early styled tractors

Thanks, I guess I will go look at them. All I realy need for my 39 is the spark plug wire loom, roller for the draw bar and other little things. I am in college so $300 sounds like a lot, but still less than one months rent.
