Mike: I have a 45W (made for wide front end), and it has a hydraulic bucket, too. I use it on my '70'Diesel, and the Pow-R-Trol has that selective control valve so that I can take my pressure from the side pipe plugs. You can do this too, you'll just need to have the correct fittings. The way mine works is: Place the lever in "rear" position. Yup, that's the way it works for me. So, I throw the lever to the rear, and then my two lever valve works the loader functions. This is fine until you lift too heavy a load or let the bucket move against it's end of travel, because then the P-trol lever returns to center. That's a nice safeguard, but you can strap that lever in position with a bungee cord if it gets too annoying. I used Pioneer type couplers to connect the loader to the P-trol hoses. On the P-trol coupling, if you want to draw the pressure from the side pipe plugs, you'll need to use those solid nosed plugs in the P-trol box so that the oil flow is diverted to the plugs...at least that 's what I remember. It's been a long time since I worked with a P-trol box without a selective control valve. If you have the plugs that have the pipe threads in their outer ends, you know the ones that will accept the hoses for a cylinder, you can use them. People tend to get away from those as you lose a fair bit of oil everytime you disconnect or reconnect them. I'm sure someone else here will be able to guide you further, but that's what I know for now. Just remember, using a loader like 45 on a tractor without power steering or live hydraulics will make it a chore, but years ago, it probably beat the heck out of a pitch fork ! I'll be flying home tonight and can get you some digital photos tomorrow if that would help you out. Frank-in-Tallahassee
