This tractor does smoke. Maybe the oil rings are stuck. Good power although when brakes are applied. Idles excellent. Engine revs right up to top rpm. No strange engine noises. New seat/battery box, new battery, new intake manifold, new exhaust and intake manifold gaskets, new grill screens, new after market muffler, new radiator cap, new spark plugs, new oil and filter, lights work, generator charges according to ammeter, tires hold air with 25% tread not checked too bad, metal is not too rusty although there are a couple of dents which need body work. Needs original front rims. Can buy it for $850 with a John Deere 45 loader with snow bucket. Cylinders are excellent. Loader frame is average. Thanks for the information. andy

Buy it! And if you want to make a quick 150 bucks, sell it to me for a 1000.

Here in my area ones like you're describing are bringing at least $1500 on up to $2500 depending who's at the sale.

Sounds like a steal to me Andy. I bought my 50 in 96 and paid $800 for it and a sickle mower and it didn't even run. If it's what you want go for it. I love my 50 and wouldn't take anything for it.

That sounds like a good deal even if it was not John Deere. The loader could be $350

that tractor has to be worth at least $1500 as you described, maybe a little more....$1750. Better buy before the seller turns a computer on to ebay or this site. Better go back immediately, load up and pay him or someone else will.....
