Does anyone have experience with a 4050? I have the opportunity to purchase one at a good price with low hours.

Thanks for the replys. This particular tractor has 15 speed powershift and 3600 hours.

Will, You can't go wrong on this tractor. The 4050 is an excellent tractor regardless of which engine is in it. All the Deere 50 series tractors were good but the small frame models in particular were very tough. Which transmission is in it? Quad or powershift? Should make an excellent loader tractor with enough power to do a lot of other work.

Wil: The 4050 was offered with either a 466 or a turbo 359. I owned the turbo model and it was one of the best tractors I ever owned. I can't say for sure how many hours I put on it working a pto irrigation pump, but I used over the 2750 and a David Brown 990. It was easy on fuel. Hope this helps.
