Hal,

I was scheduled to go to EXPO this year but had to work. My son was so disappointed that I took him to the National 2 cyl show in OK. We had a good time and got to watch several tractors plowing, etc. Next year I am going with a tractor to show. Check out their site at www.okjdclub.com

i have showed at the expo since 96 an really enjoy showing at it. but the problem with the expo is that they have no demistrations goin on. since most of these tractors are painted up so nice that you are afraid to, so you dont sctrach them. i have over 2000 in the paint jobs of the tractors that i show. i have others that i take to the other shows that you can demostrate at. i dont have as much money in the paint. they are not as shiney. as a exibitor i have a hard time deciding witch type of show i like best. if you want to see them out there workin then the oklahoma show is better, i have showed at that one also an really enjoyed myself. if you like lookin at purty tractors an alot of talkin, which i have been told i do best, then the expo is the one. i will be at the expo again this year. where are you located at since there at alot of good shows around now adays. there is a really good show comin up in the last of june in mt pleasant, it is the ageless iron show. all brands an demostraiotns to. last time they had this show it was in ankeny, an they had 1200 tractors. it was a very good show. i was there also, an will be this yr also.
hope to see you there

Please tell us more about the "Ageless Iron" show you mentioned for late April in Mount Pleasant . Is that Mount Pleasant as in Iowa? Do you know the dates?

leon,
Yes, that show will be in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and is NOT the same as the famous "Old Threshers and Settlers Reunion" held each year on Labor Day weekend, although it sounds like it will be held on the same grounds. The dates for the Ageless Iron show in 2003 are 27, 28, and 29 June. By the way, at least one of the members of our club showed at time or two at that show when it was in Ankeny. See you next meeting.
Dan
