A pto shield for Father's 40T, found it listed under the 420T parts info. Four strings of Deere Christmas lights and an Ertel model 60 my youngest won't put down. He's been pulling a reproduction antique child's toy consisting of two puppies on wheels and a pair of cranks with a bell. I have a faint lead on a LP 4020 with power shift.

Not exactly JD but my granddaughter took her first steps. Now if I can get her headed toward the green machine we will go for a ride.

My wife and daughter must have bought out Green Magazines library!! I got more of J.R. Hobbs books and, for the first time, got my hands on the first of MacMillens books. Pretty impressive. Some zero zones and clothes (the only time I might not look like the old fogy that I am is when those two dress me!) rounded out a great Christmas for me.

Alas, no big old 80 or 50 or 40C under my tree. But hey, my birthdays only a week away. Maybe..... .. Naw!

JD coffee mug, digital camera (to take tractor pics), "The John Deere Tractor" by Randy Leffingwell, a '50 A (the wife told me it was a Christmas present when I bought it last July), and the best surprise...The A fired right up this morning at 8* above!

Best to all for the new year,

My mother made me a nice John Deere quilt.
It has wool inside. That's the best there is when it's cold.
