Alan, try moving the Hi-Lo shift lever back forth, maybe it will kick it back into reverse. If that doesn't help you will probably have to pull the trans shifter cover & line the shift rails back up.
~Be slow & deliberate on the shifting & put the Hi-Lo shifter in lo before shifting to rev & you probably won't have any more problems. .....

Hi Alan! It is possiable that the shift lever slipped by the shifter rail. The way I check these is to unbolt the quadrant from the tractor and set all the shifter rails to the netural position. then bolt your quadrant back in place while the lever is in netural and you should be all set. I have a 70, 720d, and 730d that people doing me "favors" have slipped that shift lever past the forks. You might have a broken shift lever, but I don't think so. Your transmission is probally worn causing this. Hope I helped.
