I'm looking for any info I can get on snow plows for the Dubuque tractors, JD or aftermarket. Does anyone have pictures of how the cable lift hooks up on the back of the tractor. Any info or pictures anyone has of JD, aftermarket, or home built plows would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill

Bill, There is a flat steel strap with a hole at each end that allows you to connect the loop at the end of the lift cable to the left rear lift arm (with a pin thru the inner holes in the lift arm). Note: There is no pulley on the transmission. There is a pulley on the underside of the plow (below the transmission) that keeps the cable running under the plow and mounting frame. I have an operator's manual for the 60-160-260, M-60, and MI-72 plows, so if you have further questions just let me know and I'll try to help you out.

Dennis,

Where/how does the plow hook up in the back? Does it require that the drawbar assembly be removed? This is on a 40 Standard. My father had a M with a plow years ago but even on that I can't remember how it hooked up.

Thanks for the info.

Bill I don't have any pictures but I do know how they are hooked up. Theres a cable that conects to the front end and goes down around a pulley on the plow, then from there it goes to a second pulley on the trans then it hooks up to the lift arm. I've seen alot that have no pulley on the trans and the cable will cut right into the trans.
