Trying to bleed the hydraulic system on our 3020 with out any luck. The proceedure as I understand it is to turn the wheel all the way to the left and open the bleeder. We just don't get any fluid. Is there a way to prime the pump? Thanks for the help! Rick

Never heard of bleeding any hudrailic system on a deere. usually after a few cycles through motion most any hydraulic system will bleed itself. Had a steering line wear through on my 3020 this summer. I replaced the line and started the tractor up and turned the wheel right and left for a few mins to get the air out and then everything was fine. Also have had numerous seals go out on a 45 loader I have on my 620, and have never bleed thate eithor. Maybe you aren't supposed to do it that way, but it worked for me, and took a lot less time than trying to figure out how to bled the system.

In my 4020 service manual it only talks about Bleeding the fuel system, Brakes, and power steering.

When i change transmission oil, i never had to bleed anything.

On the 3020 we have bleed the hyd system by bleeding the power steering. Not sure this is the only or best way?

This is how you bleed the power steering a 4020. I would think a 3020 should be just about the same.

Remove bleed screw from bleed valve.
Open bleed valve and attach transparent tube for returning oil to the transmission case.

Turn steering wheel full right and then start engine. Close bleed valve after air-free oil is emitted and allow front wheels to synchronize full right.

Turn steering wheel full left.

Open bleed valve and turn steering wheel slow enough to full right so front wheels do not follow.

Close bleed valve and after front wheels have turned full right turn steering wheel full left.

Repeat operation until air-free oil is emitted from the bleed valve.

Install bleed screw.
