I can't find my notes. Does D-203 sound right
for AC Delco [distrib. on an "A"]? Tried searching
the posts and can't find it. Thanks. pb

Will that also fit in the Dubuque tractors-40,420, etc? I will track them down if they will help. I go through points like crazy and need to find a fix.

Delco number D203 is the correct number for replacement of the original "Delco condenser". I have very good luck with these. I don't know where John Deere gets there condensers today but they give more problems than they are worth. You will have to go to a Delco parts distributor to get these and they will be twice the money (around $5.00) but worth every penny. Good Luck Dave W.

I have also noticed several condenser failures in last 5 years. Have done mechanic work for over 40 years and years ago failure was very seldom, almost noe-existant Wonder if it is due to stronger batteries, higher speeds,More heat under hood, poorer quality control ----- any clue?

Just to add to WTW's post. Dave, I followed your advice and bought that condensor some time ago. Have had no problems since changing to it. The Delco (Chevrolet) dealer I used said he couldn't cross D203 to a number he could order from so I checked with a Delco distributor in the Minneapolis area and he gave me an 8 digit number to use when ordering. The Chev dealer was then able to get it for me. The number is 12338664. I noticed that the number D203 appears on the box too! I guess we have to play their silly games.
