I have my tractor tore down and seen that each rod has different casting numbers. One is F5R and the other is F1047R. Should there be two different ones in it like this? Will this hurt anything? Thanks for the help.

Brandon the F-5R is a babbit rod and the other is a insert rod(bearings).I don't think it would cause any problem,I would put back the insert type rod. I don't have my book here at the house, but I beleive this is what you got. Gman

Can I have inserts put in the babbit rod? I don't want to have to buy another rod to match if I don't have to. Thanks for the help.

Where did you get that big stationary engine? I'd like to see it sometime that I get out with the youngster. Can't wait to hear it run, love that "D" sound!

Talk to you later, Fireman (Ernie)
