Well, I got em home today. My H John Deere and my B Farmall that I did some dealing on to get. The B is a pretty complete tractor but the H is missing several items. I will need much advice on the H as I start to do the rebuild of it as I have never went this far with a a restoration job. I'm sure it will be a long drawn out affair and I have not a clue as too when it will start. this gives me 3 restoration projects counting my dads 41 model B John Deere. One question I have right off the bat about the H is, what is the, well its a pump looking valve just to the left of the gear shift lever? My first thought is its the hydraulic control. Seems like I remember seeing cultivators with this tractor at some point. I have known about the H for many years as it belonged to a friend of mine and the B Farmall did too. I'm looking forward to redoing both of them and dads B Deere.

I'm guessing that you're guessing right about that being the hydraulic pump/valve to the left of the gear shift lever on the H. Most didn't have hydraulics. I have some left over parts from my '41 H restoration. Most will require some work, but the price would be right.

Hey Leon,
If I'm right mine is a 41 H as well, going to check the serial numbers in the daylight today, kind of hard to see at night with a flashlight and down in the 20's. Where are you located at adn what parts do you have available? I'm not sure when all of this is going to start. Money is a very big issue right now. I had thought the trans. was froze on her cause the rear wheels never moved from pulling it from where it was to the trailer, but when backing it off the trailer, wheel, belt pulley and all was turning, oh yea, the motor is free too, that was a real big surprize!!! I'm about 60 miles north of Dallas
