Thanks B.J./Clooney& F.I.T. I don't have any way of making new holes and or a tap.. The sproket part is still on their, I am able to put the bolt back in the center of the crank,,maybe if I punch a pilot hole in the center of the bolt to keep the puller from slipping and then put a gear puller on the sprocket. heat it with my propane torch and see what happen.. The reason I am doing this is I need to repair the transmission, So I will Have plenty of questions as I tackle my 1st transmission job.

I had one break on a 70 once your 720 is probably the same disc where the bolts thread in is not very thick, just had to use a lot of heat

Ben, if it broke using the bolts it probably won't come off with a gear puller either as the puller would probably have to pull on the outer thin edge.
~How bad is it broken & what part broken? Can bolts still be threaded in the holes?
~If those clutch drivers are tight I use a 3 hole puller & put bolts through the puller & into the 2 holes in the driver, then tighten the puller center bolt until I feel I can't pull any harder with out damage, then put some heat from a torch on the drive disk center & it usually pops right off. ~You can try a gear puller on the outer rim but very little force can be used. Maybe a little force & some heat will do the trick. [OR] Maybe you can drill new holes & thread them, then use a puller on bolts threaded into those holes & some heat. The key here being heat...

Ben:

I had that happen before....it probably means that it was cracked any way. Getting a puller on it is the trick. If you can get a gear puller on it, it will probably come off. I have an older puller that still has the grind spots on the feet where I had to relieve it a bit (I always have a cheap one around for things like that !) Be sure to protect the threads of the crank end (might want to leave a bolt in there until it breaks free) I would not be afraid to warm that piece up just a bit to take the chill off it....I mean nothing more than propane. If you get it too hot, you'll probably need to repack the pulley bearing. The main thing is to not damage the crank.

Good Luck !!
