Jack, point spark color really doesn't tell you much. The weak spark at the plugs does. ~Try checking the spark right at the coil & if it will jump a 3/16"+ gap with a blue spark from the coil your problem probably lies in the cap, rotor, wires or plugs.. ~If everything else, like the plug wires are solid core [not carbon center] & not wet in the tubes [pull the wires from the tubes & try it], it sounds like either low coil primary voltage due to resistance in the ign switch or wire from the ign switch to the coil or fouled spark plugs... First try new spark plugs & if that doesn't do it, measure the coil primary voltage [the ignition switch side] with a voltmeter & see if it is over 11.8 with the ign on & points closed, or just run a jumper wire from the battery non-grounded post to the coil non-distributor side & see if that helps. You might want to try a new or different coil to distributor wire [if that is burnt it will make the whole secondary side low on power] ~Make sure the coil is hooked up with the same terminal of the coil going to the distributor as the battery has going to ground. ~Try the above & post back with questions..
