Mark,

I bought one on ebay this summer to put on our 44A. I intend to plumb it separately from the powerlift with a side mounted tank, control valves and quick connects on the back so we can run a haybine and bale ejector.

I have a friend who has one on his 47A, also separately plumbed with side tank and control valves to run his factory loader. Works great. He says the trick is to make sure the lines are filled with fluid and all air is displaced. If the pump and system are primed, it will pump, providing the off/on switch is on.

Mark the hydraulic pump that fits between gov. and Distr.enables you to have live hydraulics all the time with clutch engaged or disengaged.I got one on my "G" and its a pain in the rear it'll work sometime another time it want do squat, and I usually wind up greaser than the dickens trying to get it to work. If you decide to put the pump on you have to remove the idler gear in pto pump and install a metal gasket behind the powertrol to block port to shaft driven pump, the suction comes off the drain plug in bottom of rockshaft housing and I had to drill it to one inch.that's fun. The return or pressure side dumps right in left side of powertrol, mine worked just like a mules ear for a while the it quit and hasn't worked since. It's really a pain in the backside know what I mean. Hope I've helped a tad Later Gman

Those pumps work really well if you mount a small supply tank for them to feed off of and to return to don't even hook to the back of the tractor have one on a B to run a Dual 250 loader and one on a G to run power steering.
