520 Gasket Price

I am going to rebuild the governor on my 520, it works fine but leaks everywhere. I ordered the gasket kit from deere but it was unavailable. Then I reordered the gaskets individualy and got all but the governor mounting gasket B2655R which is no longer available. I could make this gasket without much trouble but the real thing is always nice. I asked if a dealer search could be done and a gasket was found. I didn't ask the price because its not a huge gasket my guess was probably 5 to 10 dollar range boy was I wrong on that one. I picked it up last night and paid $18.22 for the gasket and another $3.23 for shipping thats almost half of what all the othe gaskets and shims cost for the job. Next time the gasket cutters and punches come out and we'll make our own and have material left when the job is done and only half the money invested. Have a good chuckle on me and be sure to ask the price when you order even simple parts.

Does any company still make the old gasket cutting tools anymore? sure would like to get one-morgan
