Are JD 530 fenders adaptable to a 50?

I don't like the way the first numbered series fenders look. I like the styling of the 30 series fenders and was wondering if the same holes in the axle housing match up between tractors. I know technically this is "politically incorrect" cross stylings like this but I still like the way the 30 series fenders look. thanks for any help.

Tye,

Here's my incorrect 60 tractor. The big advantages of the flat tops are those 4 headlights for night work, and the fact the big fenders make even my daughter (pictured) feel secure about driving it.

The 30 series fenders are a bit pricey if they're original. You're going to be "incorrect" anyway, so why spend big bucks doing it. There are two parts, the bracket and the fenders themselves. We have the same size square axles on 50's and 60's, I think... and so the ones from the 30 series will work. For less money you might be able to coax a bracket from an early New Gen tractor like a 3010 to fit on there. Once you've got that, take a look at New Gen flat top fenders, or the turkish made repro flat top fenders. They'll be a lot less money - and they'll be brand new. No rust problems.

good luck, and take care of it, and have fun with it -- even though it's incorrect.

Steve

I cant say for sure on the 50 but ive seen 630 fenders on a 60 may take a little rigging but anything is possible. I also like those same fenders maybe ill do the same on my 60.
