I have a John Deere 310-A Backhoe, I was wanting to change the controls around and was wondering if you have to change the hose around at the controls, or somewhere else. Any info on what year these were produced or whatever would be helpfull as well as where to go to order a manual on-line. Someone has told us that it is a 70 something.

If everything is working, but not the way you want it, make the change at the ports on the valve housing. On the loader it should be pull back on the handel to raise boom, forward to lower boom. (most loaders have a "float" and pushing valve all the way forward enacts the float. The bucket, push the valve forward to dump and pull back lever to rollback bucket. Same way on the back hoe. Picture that your arm is the part you want to move. Your J.D. dealer can get you the manual.
