Guys:

I was just kidding....

This one is on the tractor Photo Ads right now.

Yes a burned tractor needs EVERYTHING....every seal, sealed bearing, and o-Ring minimum.

In 1983, I bought a 4440 that had had a cab fire, and installed a new cab shell and every wire, switch, and piece of upholstery in it. That was a chore, but at least everything was available.

The tractor is still in use today, and I'm pretty proud of that.

Cheers !!

Sounds like you got one with that pup. Of course, any old JD needs a new lease on life. Looks like Fire City, lotsa work to tear down and rebuild. My ex-boss's Ford 600 burned, and he is barking at $6,000.00 to get it rebuilt at the local JD dealer, who handles all colors. Must be sentimental, since good working Ford 600's go for $3,000 to $4,000 tops. A burnt tractor needs a LOT of work. good luck, and just my $0.02
