I am looking for a roll bar and canopy for a 4020. Can someone describe to me the method of attachment to the tractor? Such as how many bolts are used on each side?

BTT CORP in Kilmichael, MS advertizes "JD 2-post steel canopies" for $690.

From the photo, they look new. Several in photo.

www.burtstt.com is the web address.

Hope this helps,
Mitch

Hey Charlie,
The roll guard I put on the first 4020 I had sat on top of the axle and was attached 4 bolts on each side. Can't remember if I used u-bolts or Grade 8 adn made straps for under the axle? I made my own canopy for it as I about did my shorts when I seen how much a new one was. you could find a complete roll guard and canopy fairly reasonable at an auction I would guess. I have another 4020 now and will be looking myself before too long. Also for my 3020, I will have a year around cab that I will be pulling off the 3020 before long if anyone is interested, unless I decide to put it on the 4020, which I probably won't but anyhow.

Thanks, Gary. I looked at one that was supposed to be factory original but it was made with only 2 bolt holes per side, that is 4 bolts total. That didn't look right to me so I need to go back and inspect it again.

That sounds like it may have been for a smaller tractor. It would probably work allright if you were not really concerned about the rollover but more for the shade. I will look in my 4020 parts book and see what all is there. I know they are in there and it should tell how many bolts in the parts description. I bought 2 Deere roll guards that year and put one on the 4020 and one on my 135 Massey. Took some work to get it on the massey but it sure looks good.
