Today I got a #52 plow on steel with 2-14". My question is should it have a tail wheel mine doesn't, it doesn't even have a braket for one. I also need both levers and the rod that hooks onto the tongue and goes back. It's also missing one of the grass cutters. If somebody has some of these parts would they want sell me or know where I would go about getting them.
Thank you,
Ryan

Ryan,I have a JD 52 parts plow that I bought from a scrap yard. The frt. wheels had been removed, but I think it has the rear wheel.I know it has the levers, adjustment rod for hitch and clevis.I bought it to complete another 52 but I used the coulters(grass cutters)so I have no coulters for sale.I am probably along way from you as I am in N.Tex.Email me if interested.Jim B

Yes, you should have a tail wheel. You can only use one from a 52 plow. For the levers. You can use the 51, one bottom or 52, two bottom plows levers. The rod can come off of the 51 and 52 plow. You should be able to use any colters. As long as the clamp on the frame will hold it. Look around for a junk yard for tractors. Where are you from?

Will P,
I'm from Southwest Iowa. I might get my parts from Jim B in the above post. Or, get them from my local slavage place. Thanks for your help, Ryan

Ryan, Whenever I needed parts for my 52 plow, I went to my local JD dealer and they gave me a list of dealers that did have that particular part. John Deere has a parts network like you wouldn't believe.
