...thought you guys might like to know that I went to a sale w/30+ tractors on it, mostly JD's. I'm not a JD guy (red & flambeau red) so I'm not an expert on JD's by any means. The highest price was on an 830D (direct start) that looked to me to be in show room condition, w/new rubber all around. It went for $11,200. (Someone said they thought it was going back to working for a living.) I've got all the other prices if you are interested. I don't have e-mail capability on this old horse, so you'll have to ask if ya want me to post some of 'em. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

One 70 NF, looked pretty good to me, but friend of mine who bought it for $3,300 said he thought he spent too much after he discovered the water pump was rusted tight & took a better look @ tires. He also said the manifold was welded & he'd missed that when he looked at it. Best buy, I thought was an E-3 Co-op wf, looked good & sounded good, better than average tires went for only $1,300. I thought the B Farmalls that I was interested in went high-$2,000 for one & $2,050 for the other one that had rear weights. A 430T that looked great went for lotsa $, don't remember exactally how much, but it was a bunch. (Another $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
