Restoring a 31GP and pulled the head today and #2 bore has water damadge. Both bore's appear to have sleeve's am I correct, was this from the factory? Previous owner said the head gasket was leaking, and he replaced the head gasket. There was no white smoke or smell of anti-freeze when running before teardown. It must have set for some time with water in the bore to pit it so bad. I am hoping for sleeves and not a bore job which would involve new piston's.Looking for answer's. Thanks

No, the GP is not a sleeved block. You will have to bore it. Or you can have the block dry sleeved.

Good luck.
