Is there a 31 GP repair manual available from Deere or other sources. I have a parts book and was told that no repair (shop) manuals existed.

BottomD, the serial tag goes right below the shift lever. Mounted onto the differential with short rivet screws. I'll check with Deere on the use and care book, thanks.

Gary, check in Green Magazine in their book section. I believe they offer a reproduction manual that covers the D, GP and maybe type E stationary engines. It might have some good info, at least as far as engine repair goes.
