Who knows of a good supplier for the gm 2-53 parts. My local detroit dealer hasn't a clue. Any ideas?

Thanks

Get the "N" series sleeves, pistons and injectors. Pay no attention to the parts man when he can only find "S" series 2-53's. The engines are modular. Just order 2/3 of a "N" 3-53. The updated blower seal conversion is a good idea to reduce the chance of run aways from oil injestion. 10-1/2 turn/193 thou dia lifter springs in all positions is a good idea along with the late HD valve springs. Makes2550 rpm at fast idle safe. DO NOT reusegrind the valve seats and valves. It will only lower the compression and and make a foul tempered starting engine worse. Use only new valves and seats. High torque starter windings and a battery with all the cold cranking amps you can find along with vibration resistance is required. If going larger than N35 injectors, N50's max convert to spray cooling rods or scuff the cylinder walls with too hot pistons.

Try a different dealer, I mean truck dealer. The other guy just doesn't want to mess with a small guy.
