I just bought a gas tank from a late 420C and the is a threaded boss in the middle of the top of the tank. What is this for? Also, are there bushings in the throttle body of the TXS 641 carb? I remember rebuilding the carb on my 40 some years ago and replacing the throttle bushings. None of the kits I have gotten lately have them. Does anyone know if the kits from Robert's have new bushings? Thanks for any help and there will be more questions, Cpeter

The threaded fitting on top of the tank is for a vent tube, a small copper line goes from there down to beside the oil pan. There is supposed to be a little bracket that fastens with one of the oil pan bolts. Yes there are bushings or actually a seal on the throttle shaft. It consists of a rubber ring and a brass retaining ring. The kits from Carquest have them included.
