Carb Rebuild

I have a 56 420S with a TSX-688 on it. I am getting a backfire or hiccup back into the air cleaner. I barrowed my uncles TSX-641 carb and bolted it on and the tractor runs like a top.
At this point I think I need this one rebuilt? Here are my questions.

1. Are the 688 and 641 the same carb just different years?

2. Can someone recommend a good rebuilder for this brand of carburetor?

3. I was also wondering if the Rebuilt Carbs on this web site are of good quality. Not sure whether to have mine rebuilt or purchase one off of this site?

Try Burrey Carb. Svc. 1-800-287-7390 Monroeville,Ind, approx. 10 mi. E. of Ft. Wayne I get my parts from him and have had him also do work for me as well he does decent work and is helpful with information as well
