I was reading the posts on the difference in LP and Gas distributors and caps. Does this only apply to the bigger tractors? I am starting restoration on a 420LP and a 430LP and my parts book shows the cap and dist. to be the same. I have not had any expierence with the LP models and am having to learn as I go.

Wayne, I really don't know very much about the 420 or 430 LP. I would assume the distributors & caps are the same as the distributor is driven from the cam & is 1/2 crankshaft speed on both. There would be no reason to have different parts.
