There must be someone out there who has removed one of these bushings in the lower power steering pedestal. Where can I find a tool like this (page 10-30-4 Power Steering Manual SM-2050, Figure 10-30-6)? I tried making something similiar to it, but so far no luck removing the bushing. See Parts & Pieces section for picture of tool. Thanks.

Larry, I use an expanding puller similar to the one you had shown only mine has a nut welded on it to attach to my big slide hammer. In the past I have removed those bushings by using a saw blade wrapped with tape & cutting notches in the bushing then removing it in pieces. I still use an air saw to saw cut lines in some of the bigger bushings then pull them in pieces. On smaller bushings I screw a tap in & drive them out from the back with a long rod. ~If all else fails use a die grinder with a coarse burr on it & grind the bushing thin in a few places & it will come right out..... ..

Thanks for the advice. I'll give that a try.
