WHICH ONE? HT or MT

What is the difference between these two models other than the year? Does one have more collector value than the other? When shopping, what should I be looking for on these tractors [good & bad]? Thanks for your help!

Chris was presuming that by "HT" you really ment "H" for there is no "HT" model designation. There is an "MT". I couldn't make up my mind either, so I have one of each. In addition to the differences Chris pointed out, H was made from about '39 to '47 and MT from '49 to '52. All MT's have hydraulic rockshaft and electrics, both were options on later H. Top speed on an H is about 5 mph, MT is about three times that. MT is four speed transmission, H is three. Belt pulley is on the back of an MT, on the side of the H driven off the camshaft. H has pan seat on a spring supported channel iron while MT has a unsprung cushioned bench seat. All H tractors were all-fuel while gas or all fuel was an option on an MT. The MT is a bugger to get on and off of for an old guy. I didn't notice that at 16! An H can be driven standing up, an MT cannot. Even so, all in all, the MT is a much more modern design tractor than the MT. Please contact me by e-mail if you have specific questions.

A couple of quick differences is h was made in waterloo m was made at dubuque. H has its own frame . M uses motor as Frame. BIG DIFFERENCE is h uses transverse two cylinder. M uses vertical Two cylider. Hand and foot clutch is a difference. All sorts of things are different.
