Wondering if it is possible to take a salvaged rowcrop 70 that has a rockshaft and put the rockshaft system on a 70 standard? Dont know if everything would work out right? WOuld like to have a 3 pt on a std. I've seem some standrads with rockshafts, but most are without. Dont know if they used the same setup as a rowcrop? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, the 70 standards were available with the powerlift/rockshaft.. Mine has an 801 hitch on it.. The aftermarket 3pts will also fit on the 70 standards once the lift is installed.. Good luck.

If I'm reading the parts book right, and I didn't look all that close, it looks like some of the 70s were available with a power-trol pump and set-up to run a cylinder, but less a rockshaft. I don't know how common those are, but it is shown in the parts book. Probably built for the guys that used hydraulic cylinders on equipment, but had no use for a rockshaft, as in a wheatland type situation.

Lester, in the parts books for the "70" and "70 Diesel", they only show one rockshaft housing - an AF1660R, so I presume that it fit both the standard and row-crop versions of the "70" tractors. If you take the rockshaft off of a donor tractor, just make sure you get all of the related parts to make the installation easier. A parts book would be a big help, also, to make sure you have what you need.
