Clooney on my 60 i noticed i had some gear oil around the pulley some had slung out. Could this be because my powertrol has leaked into the tranny and caused it to be overfull or is it a seal bad. Thanks

Chris, if the power-trol has leaked into the trans & left it over full that could easily cause an oil slinging problem at the pulley.
~If the oil level in the trans is ok & you are slinging oil, you will have to look elsewhere. There really isn't a seal in the 60 pulley that can cause an oil slinging problem. The oil is kept in by a screw cut on the peripheral of the actuating sleeve & a tight fit of the sleeve to the pulley hub. Any excess wear of the sleeve to pulley, plugged oil drain back hole in the dust shield or excess pulley movement can cause oil leaks & slinging. If the crankshaft has excess lateral movement that can also add to a leak problem.
~Gear oil that is too thin or migrates easily can also add to leak problem & the older GL-1 gear oil seems to stay put a little better.
