I will soon be aquiring a flat back 39 b
I was wondering if the governor gears are strong enough for me to mount a small belt driven hydraulic pump up there like a generator would be. I also have the hoses and a small resevoir and valve i could put back by the seat. Ive got another tractor i work but it would make it a little more handy. Im still gonna buy it even if i cant do this but it sounds like a good idea. Thanks Chris

If you want to add hydraulics, why not find an original Deere pump which fits between the mag and governor. You can use just about any reservoir and valve if you're not concerned about originality. LOL Paul

Why not find a rear powertrol cover and install? Then it won't look like something that Mr. Hainey just happen to bring. Add on hydraulics look like a Rube Goldberg contraption.
