Does anyone know where the rear light on an AR (unstyled) should be? Mine is mounted on the floor pan right above the PTO, l don't think this is the proper place for it, l've seen some pictures with them on the right fender, mounted on the top and bottom! Any info would help. Thanks.

I personally don't know the correct location; however, the Nov-Dec 2000 issue of Two Cylinder has several photos of unstyled ARs and AOs that show rear work lights. Page 3 has a rear view of an early AR and the work light is mounted at the bottom rear of the right fender on the angle iron fender brace that runs across the width of the tractor. Centerline of large diameter light is approximately level with top flange of angle iron. Light is centered side to side on fender.

Pages 12 & 13 each show a late AO with the work light mounted in the same right fender location; however, the newer style light is smaller in diameter and appears to be mounted atop a vertical support on the angle iron so that the bottom of the light appears to be about 2" above the top angle iron flange.

None of the photos show the worklight above the PTO.

Thanks a million, I thought it might have been mounted on the angle iron on the right fender! It looks like there used to be holes drilled in the angle iron and someone filled them in. Do you or anyone know where I could get a copy of that issue? Thanks again.

Cal, You may be able to order back issues from the publisher, but I don't know for sure. I'd be more than happy to copy the article for you and mail it to you if you email me your US mail address.
