I have a 2940 that is having hydraulic problems. There is no oil flow to the lines that feed the power steering. I have cracked the line going to the steering valve, but no oil flowing with the engine running. I have changed the filters, flushed the oil and added clean hy-gard. Any suggestions? Things to check or look for? Thanks, Dave

u probably have a broke line inside the transmission ...if your screen is clean..you would have to split tractor to fix...but check screen if ok then run tractor and kill it..pull shift cover off on your hi lo the lines should be full of oil if not try filling (should not take more than a cup) if you cannot fill you have broken line in trans..good luck if any questions e-mail me...have nice day may god bless

Dave,it could be a plugged filter screen in the main hyd. pump, drive coupler on main pump stripped, bad trans. pump as it supplies main pump. When you changed oil did you clean long tubular screen in bottom of tranny? If not check this first as brake linings do stop these up.One other thing could but I have not seen often is faulty stroke control valve in main pump. You better invest in a Manual as hyd's are a little complicated.Broken tube going to pto valve?Jim B

What about other hydraulic functions? Do your three point hitch, remotes, pto shaft engagement etc still work?
