Just disasembled, painted, and reasembled my '68 4020 diesel 24v JD. Now I have a light problem. The first to settings on the light switch "L" and "B" work like they are suppose to(all four are on at the same time). But on the third setting "D", the outside light on the right is fully on and the outer three are just barely glowing. The light that is on is getting 12 volts and the other ones are getting 3 to 4 volts. I replaced the switch and nothing changed. I have searched the wiring and can find no problems. Need some advice.

Wayne,it's been several yrs. since I worked on 24V. system but I can still remember the problems. If you have a crossover cable connecting both batt.then be sure your small ground wire or inline fuseholder is making good connections. This can cause problems with lights. This small ground should be attached to rear post on LH battery and trans. case.If tractor has two circuit breakers on starter check both of them, they feed both sides of switch
