3020 rock shaft housing

Could someone please tell me if a 3010 JD rock housing is interchangable on a early model JD 3020? I have a 3020 without rock housing and I know where I can get a 3010 parts tractor with a rock housing on it, and I need to know if it will fit my 3020.

In a word no. If you are trying to convert a non 3pt tractor to 3pt. you need alot more than just the rockshaft housing. You will need the load control shaft and lever(inside the diff. housing), the load control yoke (bolts under tractor),rockshaft housing (specific to the serial no. range of your tractor),control lever,cable and brackets load control bushings and seals and shims etc. The easiest way to do this is to find a tractor in the same serial number range as yours in a salvage yard and buy everything you need off of it.
