Everybody is different but don't you think granpa would have gotten the tire fixed or replaced so it would be ready to work reliably

I have a friend that mows mesquite with his farmall M and he gets holes from the thorns, all he does is put old newspaper and antifreeze in an old blender and makes a liquid paste, then he puts it in his tires with an old turkey baster and drives the tractor around for a little while.
no leaks!! My friend is as tite as a cob!!
morgan p.s. do not use the blender for nothing else.

morgan, watch how you talk about me! The correct term is "Closer than the pupils on a cross-eyed flea".

JD makes a tire sealant that comes in a calking tube that works pretty well (have had a couple occassions to try it.....darn crab apple thorns). The only thing is that it can't be used with tires that has calcium chrolide in it (I havn't found anything that works in that case). On the rear tires for an M you would probably need at least 2 or 3 tubes (not real sure on this but it is specified how much on the tube).

Most of my slow leaks have been the valve failing to seat, just shoot some WD-40 up the stem and work the valve, it might just solve the problem.

Try Slime, I used that on a rear tire of a MT. The tire is still up and hasn't leaked yet. It cost 13.99 for a big bottle. You are going to need alot. It works good and I've used it on many other tires.
