Someone just posted a Ad listing "JD wide frontend square type fits 50,60,70,and 520" priced $1,150 Is this a ad for tractor needing some work with a wide front end or is this just the frontend itself? It sounds like only the front axle....it would be unusal high price

It sounds to me like an add for the axle. The price is not that out of line. It is slightly lower than what it would cost for wide front end for later 10 and 20 series (usually for 1200USD). And, these axles usually do not come with tires and rims.

Price may be crazy but its not unusual based on what Ive seen on auctions. A lot of farmers bought Schwartz wide fronts when they converted from NF because they were cheaper and the difference is apparent when you compare.

Its the price you pay if you want everything JD original
