Had the same problem on my '35B. Pulled that flywheel a long time and got nothing. I think mine has a lot to do with the idle passage still being somewhat plugged. A few things I have learned since.

1. The rings are not that well seated yet and there may still be a little lower on compression than you might think, this will make it difficult to pull the air/fuel into the cylinder.

2. No matter how strong you are and how fast you think you are turning it, you will get much better by pulling it at first. Also by pulling it first, you get a chance to see how the oil pressure looks on the gauge.

3. Like John T said, check the timing of the mag, I had the same problem at first.

4. You will be so much happier when it finally does run, that you will forget the other problems.

Good luck and let us know how it comes out.

When a tractor has just been overhauled, the first start up can be a lil touchy, so have you tried pull starting it??? You say it has gas and fire, so after tryign to start it are the plugs wet with gas or dry??? Are you sure when you pull the choke out that the choke butterfly is actually closing full??? As you are probably aware, the left number 1 cyl fires at TDC on its compression stroke and then 180 later 2 fires, so is the mag or distributor in right time and not 180 out??? If so it usually at least backfires. I assume you have good gas flow to the carb and it fills the bowl??? Let us know and Good luck Ol John T in Indiana
