I got tired of leaky sedement bowls so I bought a ball valve and a nipple at the local Rural King and screwed it right into the hole where the bowl was and used a 3/8's fuel line with an in line filter.I did this for less than fifteen bucks and so far no problems and real dependable.Hope this helps,Jack(TN).

Abe, I have had trouble with my G also. Everything is new including sediment bowl assembly. If you are using a needle with the viton tip they seem to leak more. I finally just shut off fuel at sediment bowl, let tractor die then put a pliers on bowl shut off and make sure it is tightly off. See if that helps. I got tired of changing oil and filter every time I used it!

Abe, Yes the sediment bowl shutoffs do wear out. I generally try to renew them or just put in brand new. The viton needle is the rubber tip one and I have not had very good luck. I think especially if there is any rust or junk at all in gas tank. I think the idea of opening the small wing release on bottom of bowl is a good idea. I think Clooney mentioned one time attaching a small piece of rubber or plastic hose so it will drain down nicer.

Abe,
If there is any doubt in my mind about a fuel bowl leaking thru I open the wing drain valve on the bottom of the carburator bowl (put a coffee can under it)drain it and leave it open. I HATE to get fuel thru my cylinders into the crank case. Then I make preparations to do a permanent repair.Easy
