Our A seems to run a little rich .Can adjusting the timing help burn some more fuel? If so which way do you turn dist. to advance timing? Its been bored 125 & carb rebuilt professionally, also has after market filter.Any help appreciated.

I would focus on adjusting the carburator. That usually controls mixture. I wouldn't advance the timing from specifications as a way to reduce rich mixtures. You can burn up valves, etc. Watch out for "professional" carburator rebuilders unless they are use to working on old "A's." Unless they know about the small long passages in the simple looking carb. they usually miss something and the carb. runs poorly.
