How rare is a JD 1010 U?

I recently purchased a late model JD 1010 U and several people have commented on it being a rare tractor. Mine may be even more unusual in that it has the underslung exhaust. Where can I go to find out how many of these were made?

Doesn't look like you are getting much feedback on this question. I can't answer it for you. I have a 1010RU but am not aware that it is rare. If you follow some of the links shown on the left for registries, production numbers, etc. you can find out quite a bit about how many were produced relative to other models, but that doesn't say much about how many are still around.
